In March, Russia struck Ukraine with over 600 kamikaze drones, more than 3,000 guided bombs, and 400 missiles of various classes.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported on this.

“Different cities and villages of Ukraine are suffering from this terror, and Russia is particularly brutal in the frontline areas and border communities,” the statement reads.

Zelensky specifically mentioned that Kharkiv has been subject to missile and drone strikes since the beginning of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.

And now the Russians have started using guided bombs to strike the city.

“Now, Russian terrorists are also using bombs against Kharkiv. This is daily abuse and pain, daily losses in the city. Critical infrastructure is destroyed, and ordinary residential buildings are destroyed every day,” the President noted.

The President emphasized that none of this will happen when Ukraine receives reliable air defense systems that can save the lives of our people and return security to our cities.

“Patriot SAM systems in the hands of Ukrainians have proven that all forms of Russian terror may lose. And this is necessary for our Kharkiv and all other cities and communities whose lives are now under Russian attack,” Zelensky said.

On March 31, Militarnyi reported that fighter aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Forces shot down the Russian Kh-55SM cruise missile in the Rivne region.

The Kh-55SM was reportedly shot down by a R-27 air-to-air missile.

It is also noted that the Russian cruise missile was equipped with a simulator of a nuclear warhead.

Therefore, the missile was most likely used as a decoy, but it could still have caused damage to Ukrainian infrastructure after the fall.
