Ukrainian Neptune missiles struck the Russian defense enterprise Atlant Aero in Taganrog.
Analysts from the Exilenova+ group have released satellite images showing the destroyed production buildings.
Three production buildings were completely destroyed. The roof of one of the warehouse buildings was also reported to have collapsed.
Another production building sustained significant damage: it was almost completely breached over an area of approximately 70 × 40 meters.
The strike occurred on September 15. On that day, NASA’s FIRMS system, which detects thermal anomalies on the Earth’s surface, recorded a large-scale fire.
On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on this facility.
Prior to that, on September 12, the facility had also been hit by a strike.
The enterprise is involved in supplying unmanned aerial systems to the Russian Armed Forces. Atlant Aero specializes in the production of Molniya drones. These include the strike drones Molniya-1 and Molniya-2, as well as the reconnaissance drone Molniya-2R.
The company is included on the sanctions lists of Ukraine, Canada, and the European Union.
According to Exilenova+, Ukrainian Neptune cruise missiles were used in the strikes.
The range of the modern version of the Neptune missile reaches approximately 1,000 km, whereas the previous version had a range of about 280 km.
The warhead of the upgraded missile weighs up to 260 kg, which is 110 kg more than that of the anti-ship variant.
