DroneShield has equipped the U.S. Army’s light Infantry Squad Vehicles (ISVs) with DroneSentry-X Mk2 counter-drone systems.
The work was carried out under a contract with Joint Task Force 401 (JIATF-401), the company reported.
All phases of the agreement, including delivery, installation on the vehicles, acceptance testing, and operator training, were completed in approximately 80 days from the date the contract was signed. The deployed systems have now reached initial operational capability.
The DroneSentry-X Mk2 provides drone detection and electronic countermeasures. When mounted on an ISV, the system allows units to employ electronic warfare capabilities both while on the move and from fixed positions.
In addition, the company trained personnel to fully utilize the systems in combat conditions.
The project is being implemented to support units carrying out missions, particularly within the area of responsibility of U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) and along the country’s southern border. The program calls for the continued supply of detection equipment, artificial intelligence algorithms, and electronic warfare systems.
Under the updated contract, the parties plan to equip three additional ISV vehicles with DroneSentry-X Mk2 systems.
