Dronefall: Merops Donates 250 Interceptor Drones to Ukrainian Military

The Come Back Alive Foundation, Atlas Festival, and PrivatBank have completed the Dronefall fundraising campaign.

A total of ₴174 million ($3.9 million) was raised for systems designed to shoot down enemy drones, the Come Back Alive Foundation reported.

A significant contribution to the project came from Perennial Autonomy, which manufactures Merops counter-drone systems. The company provided the Defense Forces of Ukraine with 250 interceptors and five ground stations.

The donated equipment is valued at ₴44.3 million ($990,000). It is one of the largest in-kind donations in the Foundation’s history and the largest contribution to the Dronefall project.

The Merops counter-drone system uses high-speed fixed-wing Surveyor interceptors designed to destroy Geran and Gerbera-type drones and reconnaissance UAVs.

The drone can reach speeds of up to 282 km/h and operate at a range of 5–20 km. Targets can be destroyed through a kinetic impact or by a warhead weighing about 2 kg, while in the event of a miss, it can return by parachute for reuse.

The Come Back Alive Foundation and Uklon announced the launch of the Interception Vectors fundraising campaign to support the Arkan School for Interceptor UAV operators.
