Eyewitnesses among local residents claimed on social media that the explosions in Novorossiysk had begun at 3 a.m. and continued until almost 4 a.m. They counted more than 30 explosions.

Russian air defense systems were also operating near the city, trying to shoot down drones.

In addition, explosions also occurred at night in the port of Novorossiysk, which is Russia’s main commercial port on the Black Sea and a naval base of the Russian Navy.

As a result of the attack, as of the morning, the port was completely black-out. Electricity also disappeared in some areas of the city and public transport did not work. Some streets were closed off.

Also on Friday morning, a Russian oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, was hit by drones.
