Over the past 12 hours, there has been intense movement of US Air Force aircraft over the Atlantic, which may indicate preparations for an operation in the Middle East.

This involves a group of KC-46A Pegasus air tankers flying synchronously across the Atlantic from the east coast of the US, according to military analyst @OAlexanderDK.

According to open aviation monitoring data, the aircraft performed maneuvers typical of combat aircraft escort.

According to observers’ estimates, the tankers are providing flight support for six EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft.

After a daytime stopover, the group set course for Spain, where a short stop or regrouping is expected.

The next stop on the route is likely to be Qatar, a key US hub for operations in the Persian Gulf region.

EA-18G Growlers are designed to suppress enemy air defense systems and electronic warfare capabilities, making them a critical element of strike operations.

The combination of routes, aircraft type, and transfer rates indicate a possible political decision to take active action against Iran, although no official statements have been made at this time.

The US Air Force recently received its 100th KC-46A Pegasus aircraft.
