Today, during the missile attack on Ukraine, Russian cruise missiles crossed the airspace of the NATO country.

The relevant statement was made by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

According to the military, Russian missiles crossed the borders of Moldova and Romania.

“At 10:18 a.m., February 10, 2023, two Russian Kalibr cruise missiles crossed the state border between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.

Around 10:33 a.m., these missiles crossed Romania’s air space. After that, they re-entered the air space of Ukraine at the crossing point of the borders of the three states,” the statement said.

These Russian missiles were launched from the Black Sea.

It should be noted that Romania is a member of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO).

It is the first time that the Russian missiles used by the invaders to attack the territory of Ukraine are reported to have entered the airspace of this country.

It is also worth noting that this is not the first time that Russian cruise missiles fly over the territory of Moldova.

Subsequently, the Ministry of Defense of Moldova confirmed the violation of the country’s airspace. It was reported that at 10:18 am a Russian missile flew over the village of Mokra (in the Rybnytsky district, Transnistria), and then over Kosautsy (in the Sorok district). After the flight of Russian missiles, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova summoned the Russian ambassador.

As previously reported, on the morning of February 10, the Russian Federation carried out a mass launch of missiles on the territory of Ukraine. As a result of this missile attack, energy infrastructure facilities were hit in various regions of Ukraine.

The night before, the Russians used seven Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones and six Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 5 cruise missiles and 5 drones, the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported. However, up to 35 anti-aircraft guided missiles (S-300) were launched in the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions, which cannot be destroyed in the air by air defense.
