In the temporarily occupied Makiivka in Donbas, local residents recorded a large-scale fire and serial explosions, which can be heard in the video footage released.

The video from the scene was posted by the Exilenova+ OSINT channel on Telegram.

The video shows intense burning with bright flashes, which is typical for the detonation of ammunition or fuel.

The center of the fire is located in an industrial or warehouse area of the city under the control of the Russian invasion forces.

The nature of the explosions indicates that a facility with a high density of military materials was hit.

At the time of publication, official Russian authorities did not report on the cause of the fire.

Makiivka is used by Russia as a major logistics hub for the grouping of troops in the Donetsk region.

Ammunition, fuel and lubricants, as well as equipment depots are usually located in the city near civilian infrastructure.

Previous similar incidents in the region were often associated with strikes by high-precision Ukrainian weapons or UAVs.

The current footage shows a significant amount of damaged property due to the prolonged detonation.

The scale of the fire may indicate the loss of significant occupants’ stockpiles, which will directly affect their logistics in the Donetsk sector.

Recently, the Third Army Corps and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine have improved the tactical situation in Donbas.
