Ukraine Launches Drone Marketplace for Military Units

Ukraine has launched Brave1 Market, a new online marketplace for defense products aimed at the military, Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced.

The platform allows military units to independently select and purchase equipment for combat operations using unit funds.

Functioning like a typical online store, Brave1 Market features military products instead of consumer goods.

More than 1,000 items are already listed, including drones, ground robots, electronic warfare and reconnaissance equipment, components, artificial intelligence-based technologies, software, and ammunition.

Currently, military personnel often have to find manufacturers and developers through personal contacts, online searches, or other units, limiting access to necessary equipment.

The marketplace is intended to simplify this process by allowing users to quickly compare different solutions, contact manufacturers, and sign contracts directly.

Brave1 Market also aims to improve the spread of effective technologies that many military units may not be aware of, potentially boosting operational efficiency.

For security reasons, access to the platform requires authorization through the government’s Diia app. Sensitive information is stored in a closed directory accessible only to verified service members through the Delta system.

The launch follows earlier reports in February about plans to create the platform.

Ukraine has also been developing a library of components for defense manufacturers, designed to strengthen cooperation among domestic producers and reduce reliance on imports.

Since the component platform’s launch, more than 100 users have been accredited, and it currently features 55 offers across various categories.
