The first Ukrainian instructors with real combat experience have arrived in Germany to train Bundeswehr units.

Lieutenant General Christian Freuding, the German Army’s Inspector, announced this in an interview with Welt.

The training started before Easter at several army training centers and is intended to prepare German soldiers for the realities of modern warfare.

The instructors focused primarily on protection against drones and their effective use in combat operations. The Army plans to integrate these skills into the training system for tank, mechanized, and artillery units.

The general emphasized that he brought in not staff officers, but frontline soldiers with direct, hands-on combat experience.

Ukrainian specialists are currently conducting training at the Armored Forces School, the Engineer School, and a specialized drone systems training center. In the coming days, similar groups of specialists will also begin work at the Artillery School.

In March, it was reported that Ukrainian instructors would help German military personnel prepare for a possible Russian attack on NATO.
