The Fourth Law has raised a new round of strategic investment from the U.S. technology group Axon.

The funding will accelerate the development of artificial intelligence solutions for unmanned systems, the company told Militarnyi.

The partnership focuses on autonomy technologies designed for the combat deployment of drones.

Founded in Kyiv in 2023, The Fourth Law specializes in AI and robotics for defense and public safety.

Its flagship products are already in use by the Ukrainian military, including the Lupynis-10-TFL-1 unmanned aerial vehicle and the TFL-1 autonomy module.

According to the developers, Level 1 autonomy increases the effectiveness of FPV missions by 2–4 times, while raising the platform’s cost by approximately 10%.

A separate line of development is the TFL-Anti-Shahed module. The solution is designed for interceptor drones.

The system uses on-the-edge AI to detect attack UAVs. Its algorithms analyze the target’s thermal signature, movement, and other parameters.

The technology is platform-agnostic. The modules can be integrated into unmanned systems from different manufacturers and are compatible with various communication channels.

The company’s founder, Yaroslav Azhniuk, said the investment will be directed toward R&D, with priority given to developing autonomous counter-drone solutions.

Rick Smith, CEO of Axon, noted the rapid pace of development in Ukraine’s unmanned technologies. He emphasized the importance of a real combat environment for the fast evolution of AI systems.

The company said the teams were introduced through Brave1. The partnership is viewed as an example of attracting international investors to Ukraine’s defense tech sector.

Notably, Brave1 recently funded AI-based developments capable of autonomously targeting and eliminating Russian infantry.
