The military of the Rarog regiment used a drone from the Wild Hornets to intercept a Russian Molniya UAV equipped with a container of incendiary mixture.

The video was posted on the official page of the Wild Hornets on the X network.

According to the published material, Russian troops were probably trying to set fire to the forest or damage anti-missile tunnels.

At the time of the interception, it is clearly visible that the drone has a kind of suspended container from which a thermite mixture is sprayed.

It is worth noting that the use of termite mixtures in warfare is not uncommon. Such weapons provide an advantage when destroying enemy fortifications and damaging enemy technical facilities.

For example, in September 2024, the soldiers of the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade used an FPV drone with an incendiary mixture, probably ‘iron termite,’ to burn down a forest belt in the so-called ‘gray zone’ in Zaporizhzhia.

The burning temperature of a thermite charge can reach 2400°C, making it effective not only against vegetation but also against engineering structures. Such ammunition is used in industry, in particular for welding metal structures, such as railroad rails.
