Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces have seized trophy Russian equipment and weapons.

According to the SOF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Command, Special Operations Forces have seized several units of Russian invaders’ equipment and artillery ammunition during the special missions.

The trophies of the Ukrainian military include the towed 152-mm “Msta-B” gun with ammunition and several armored personnel carriers.

“During the special missions, a group of SOF operators seized several units of enemy equipment. In particular, we are talking about the Msta-B howitzer and several armored personnel carriers.

Together with the ammunition, the captured howitzer will perfectly manage the task of destroying the Russian occupiers,” said the SOF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Command in their statement.

The 152-mm Msta-B howitzer is designed to destroy artillery and mortar batteries, tanks, other armored vehicles, field fortifications, suppress manpower and fire, control points, and air and missile defenses.

BTR-80 is an armored personnel carrier. It was created in the early 1980s as a further development of the BTR-70 armored personnel carrier.

The regular crew of the BTR-80 consists of two people, the vehicle commander, and the mechanic-driver. In addition to them, the armored personnel carrier can carry up to 8 people, one of whom can serve as a gunner.

The armor of the BTR-80 is a paired installation of a KPVT 14.5-mm Machine gun and a 7.62 mm PKT.
