On the night of Saturday, February 27, in the Kiev region near Gostomel, Ukrainian troops defeated the Special Forces of the Chechen Rosguard. In Vasylkiv (also near the capital), the invaders hit a bulk plant and a fire broke out. In Kharkov, the Russians exploded a gas pipeline and tried to break into the city with military hardware – street battles are taking place in the city.
Interfax-Ukraine reported that the Chechens had been killed near Gostomel, citing confirmation from the Defense Ministry. The Ukrainian military succeeded in killing general officer Magomeda Tushayeva, commander of the 141st mechanized regiment of the Chechen Rosguard. A captured soldier of this regiment confirmed this fact. The remains were finished off with small arms – they were handled by the Ukrainian National Guard and Alfa Special Forces.

Russian troops carried out a missile attack on the bulk plant in the village of Kryachky, Vasylkivska municipality. A large fire broke out. Thus, Russia provoked an ecological catastrophe, which primarily threatens the civilian population.

In Kharkiv, the Russians also attacked the infrastructure – a gas pipeline exploded at night.
