The Defense Forces of Ukraine had destroyed the remains of military equipment of the Russians on the Zmiyinyi Island in the Black Sea.
Valeriy Zaluzhny, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reported about this.
The Ukrainian servicemen released a video which captured the damage to objects and weapons on the island.
The attack on the Russian equipment was conducted using the high-precision ammunition, which hit the target on the pier.
Judging by the video, the Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicle was engaged in this operation.
Also, at least one similar drone monitored the Zmiyinyi Island and recorded the results of successful destruction of enemy weapons.
In his post, General Zaluzhnyi noted that “with yesterday’s airstrikes, the Russians were trying to destroy their equipment, weapons, and property on the Zmiyinyi Island. However, as usual, they did not cope with the task.”
“We “assisted” the invaders to fully evacuate the remnants of their garrison from our island. There is no more “Russia’s spirit” there,” the Commander-in-Chief assured.
According to the servicemen, as a result of these successful actions, the Russian Tornado-G 122-mm multiple rocket launcher system, one fuel tank, and three cars were destroyed.
In addition, one depot with ammunition and a storage place for fuel and oil materials were damaged.
As previously reported, on the evening of July 1, the Russian invasion forces conducted an air strike on the Zmiyinyi Island, which they escaped the day before.
On June 30, Russian troops left Zmiyinyi island. The Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that it became possible due to the successful military operation of the rocket and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that were launching strikes on the Zmiyinyi Island.
