Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara Burns After Strike by Ukrainian Defense Forces

The Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted the Kuibyshev oil refinery in Samara, Russia, causing multiple fires at the site.

Videos from the scene are being shared on the Exilenova+ Telegram channel, and Astra also reports the strike. The attack occurred on the morning of June 10. Regional governor Vyacheslav Fedoryshchev claimed that drones and missiles targeted the region.

The Kuibyshev oil refinery is one of the largest enterprises in the region’s oil industry and is part of PJSC NK Rosneft.

The oil refinery has a design capacity of approximately 7 million tons of crude oil per year. It primarily produces gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as aviation kerosene and fuel oil.

This Russian oil refinery was previously attacked in January of this year. In addition, in August 2025, the facility halted operations following a UAV attack.

In March 2024, strike drones damaged one of the units at the Kuibyshev oil refinery, resulting in a suspension of the production cycle.

Attack on oil depot

In addition, Rostov Region governor Yury Slyusar said around 1 a.m. that a UAV attack targeted an oil depot in the Millerovsky district, according to Astra.

A fire broke out at the site after the strike, and residents of nearby private houses were evacuated.

By morning, the regional governor stated that the fire at the oil depot had been fully extinguished.

Strike on the linear production dispatch station

On June 8, Ukrainian drones attacked the Krasny Yar linear production dispatch station in the Volgograd region.

It plays a very important role, as it is part of a major pumping hub for transporting oil to the port of Novorossiysk.
