The Drone Coalition, jointly led by the UK and Latvia, has delivered over 215,000 drones of various types to Ukraine—including FPV drones, interceptors, and reconnaissance UAVs.
This was announced by Al Carnes, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces at the UK Ministry of Defense.
“This partnership demonstrates what allies can achieve when they act quickly,” he emphasized.
Specifically, the partners have already provided Ukraine with 45,000 FPV drones, over 150,000 interceptor drones to shoot down Russian Shaheds, and 20,000 reconnaissance drones with a range of up to 200 kilometers.
The Drone Coalition was established in February 2024 during the 19th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the “Ramstein” format. The initiative is led by the United Kingdom and Latvia. Twenty countries have already joined, including Finland, which joined the group in early May 2026.
The initiative aims to ensure the industrial production of drones and expand the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) industry to create an asymmetric technological advantage over Russian occupiers on the battlefield in accordance with the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Financial contributions from countries that have joined the coalition are used to fund the procurement and supply of UAVs for various purposes.
