DIU Fighters on Black Hawk Managed to Force Open Land Corridor in Pokrovsk

Soldiers of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, supported by UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, conducted a successful operation in the city of Pokrovsk.

According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, a group of Special Forces managed to force open a land corridor after landing in the city’s industrial zone.

The operation was conducted by the Tymur special forces unit, known for participating in complex combat missions at the front line. The DIU emphasized that the mission was successful.

Two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from the DIU aviation unit took part in the combat operations.

They delivered the troops to the northern edge of the Pokrovsk industrial zone, where the fighters gained a foothold and occupied several strategic facilities.

“After a successful airborne operation, additional forces joined the group of special forces who held the designated lines through a broken ground corridor,” the DIU shared.

It is noted that the forces of this special unit continue the operation in the area, which is important for the frontline logistics of Ukrainian troops.

Currently, combat operations are underway to counter attempts by Russian troops to expand their firepower along logistics routes in the DIU’s area of responsibility.

“Other special units of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine are also performing combat missions in this sector. Coordinated cooperation with all components of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine continues,” the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine noted.

In recent weeks, intense fighting has been taking place in Pokrovsk – the enemy is actively moving into the city’s urban areas in small groups, supporting attempts to gain a foothold in the northern and eastern directions.

Recently, Ukrainian forces received reinforcements in the Pokrovsk direction and intensified clearing operations in the north of Pokrovsk.

The military also prevented the invaders from cutting the road connecting Pokrovsk and Rodynske.
