Ukraine has deployed its only operational military transport aircraft, the An-70, to Poland.
The Polish Military Radar monitoring resource reported on this on Monday, September 15
The aircraft, bearing the tail number “02 Blue,” entered Polish airspace during the day, according to data from the online service Flightradar24, which provides real-time flight tracking information on a map.
According to open-source data, the An-70 flew over Ukrainian territory with its transponder turned off, activating it only once it entered Polish airspace.
This device is used to track aircraft flights in real time.

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, no information about the flights of Ukrainian transport aviation has been disclosed for security reasons.
The An-70, the only aircraft of its kind, was adopted into service by the Armed Forces of Ukraine back in 2015, after which Antonov carried out modernization work on it.
The aircraft returned to flight in July 2021 after a long period of storage, as part of preparations for a demonstration flight marking the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s restoration of independence.
Last October, the prototype of the Ukrainian An-178-100R military transport aircraft also flew to Poland. The aircraft arrived at Ignacy Jan Paderewski International Airport in the city of Bydgoszcz.
