The 72nd Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians has been reinforced with a batch of electronic warfare systems from Kvertus.
The Ukrainian electronic warfare systems were donated by communities and businesses in the Kyiv region.
The batch of aid worth UAH 14 million also included FPV drones and charging stations.
“I am constantly activating districts, communities of the Kyiv region and responsible businesses to continuously help our defenders,” said Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
Kvertus AD G-6+ anti-drone rifles were handed over to the 72nd Separate Mechanised Brigade.
The manufacturer claims that the shotgun is effective against FPV drones using standard control frequencies, as well as against Mavic drones and budget models of Autel drones.
In addition to drone control channels, the shotgun blocks two satellite navigation channels.
The device is equipped with a non-volatile IP-1 field indicator, which allows its operator to quickly determine whether the device is causing radio interference in any conditions.
The military also received KRAKEN electronic warfare systems.
It covers frequencies used to control most FPV drones.
The device can create dome protection thanks to omnidirectional antennas, as well as directional protection thanks to a block of directional antennas.
The Ukrainian company Kvertus has recently demonstrated a mobile electronic warfare system based on the Volya-E tracked unmanned platform.
