Russian Telegram channels published video footage of the execution of the Ukrainian serviceman.

The invaders tortured the still alive POW and beheaded him.

The video lasts under two minutes. The Russian military wear a white armband.

One of them presses the Ukrainian soldier to the ground and slits his neck with a knife. He then cuts off his head and shows it to the cameraman.

It is not known when this execution was filmed. The footage shows green leaves, so it can be assumed that the event took place in the warm season.

After the video was published, Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, wrote in his Telegram channel:

“There will be a response and responsibility for everything.”

This is not the first such crime committed by the invaders. CNN journalists also reported on another video that was shared on social media.

It recorded the bodies of two decapitated Ukrainian soldiers next to a crashed car. It is noted that their hands were also cut off. This footage was probably shot in the Bakhmut area. It is assumed that the mercenaries of Wagner PMC could be involved in the crime.

On March 6, another video capturing the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner was published on social media.

On March 12, the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed his identity as Oleksandr Matsiievskyi, sniper of the 163rd Battalion, 119th Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces, Chernihiv region.

Law enforcement officers discovered that he was executed on December 30, 2022. The body of the deceased was returned to the territory controlled by the government of Ukraine in February 2023.
