The 1st Azov Corps Captures 8 Russian Soldiers Near Pokrovsk

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a successful operation, eliminating 151 Russian soldiers.

It is known that the 1st Azov Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, along with adjacent and subordinate units, was taking part in the operation.

“The enemy is suffering significant losses. As a result of the fighting over the past two days, 151 Russian invaders have been eliminated in the area of responsibility of the Corps,” the 1st Azov Corps reported.

In addition, more than 70 Russian soldiers were wounded, and another 8 were taken prisoner.

“Combat operations are ongoing,” the Corps reported.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy has launched 27 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector since the beginning of the day.

“While holding back the enemy’s advance, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 23 attacks. The fighting continues,” the General Staff stated.

Previously, Russian forces broke through and advanced approximately 15 kilometers deep into Ukrainian defenses along a narrow section of the frontline.

Currently, the enemy, using superior infantry numbers and constant pressure, has taken control of the settlements of Kucheriiv Yar and Zolotyi Kolodiaz.

The breakthrough was confirmed by the official map of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of August 11, 2025.

In order to counter this, the 1st Azov Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine has taken up a designated defensive line in the Pokrovsk sector.

Currently, the units of the Corps have planned and are carrying out operations to block Russian forces in the specified area.
