For the first time, the Zambian Army used Russian Tigr armored vehicles during an exercise.

Hammer Of War user posted the photos capturing this on the social media X.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of Zambia shared pictures of mobile unit exercises that included Russian GAZ-2330 Tigr armored vehicles.

The Zambian Army has 35 such armored vehicles in service, ordered from Russia in 2021.

Russian armored vehicles were first spotted during a military parade on June 13, 2021.

It is worth noting that the Zambian Defence Forces have recently been gradually moving away from Soviet and Russian weapons. Although the pace of this process is not too fast, the military is switching to Chinese and Israeli weapons.

The Zambian Army already uses ATMOS 2000 wheeled self-propelled gun systems and Spear MK2 mortar systems.

Militarnyi previously reported that the Cameroon Armed Forces are using Chinese Type-07P infantry fighting vehicles in the war against Boko Haram terrorists.

Eight armored infantry fighting vehicles of this type were transferred to Cameroon from the Chinese company Poly Technologies.

It specializes in producing armored vehicles used in police operations and low-intensity conflicts.

The first baptism of fire was the clashes with Boko Haram terrorists in the north of the country in 2015.

During the fighting, the Cameroonian army lost at least one Type-07P infantry fighting vehicle, which was captured by terrorists.
