Defence Forces destroyed a weapon system of the Buk SAM in the Kherson region

The Ukrainian military destroyed a TELAR of a Buk anti-aircraft system, as well as a number of other equipment in the south.

The news was announced by the 14th Regiment of Armed Forces of Ukraine in its social media.

In the left-bank Kherson region, soldiers of the 14th Regiment hit a number of Russian military equipment of the enemy with the help of coordinated operation of reconnaissance units and artillery.

In particular, the Buk anti-aircraft system of invaders was hit. The video shows a large-scale detonation of ammunition with a rocket fuel fire, which can definitely be regarded as an irretrievable loss of a TELAR.

Overall, the video released shows the destruction:

• 2S5 Giatsint-S 152mm self-propelled gun
• 9S36 radar
• Buk-M2 SAM launcher
• R-330Zh Zhitel EW system

The video shows how each defined target is destroyed by a direct hit, which indicates the use of precision weapons. Most likely, HIMARS rocket systems were involved for this.

From the received footage, it was possible to geolocate the position of the R-330Zh Zhitel electronic warfare system of invaders on the outskirts of the village of Chelburda, Kherson region.

The enemy system was located 13 kilometers from the right bank of the Kherson region.

As previously reported, the 14th Regiment of Armed Forces of Ukraine last month in the same direction destroyed the 9A310M1-2 launcher of another Buk-M1-2 SAM.
