Ukrainian paratroopers defeated Russian offensive forces’ tanks near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region.
The 79th Air Assault Brigade said that the Russian invaders didn’t stop trying to test the strength of the paratroopers’ defense.
The military said that the Russian command sent infantry, tanks, engineering vehicles, and infantry fighting vehicles to attack.
“Recently, the enemy again launched a massive assault on positions, using tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other armored vehicles,” the brigade said.
To pass the mine barriers, the invaders sent the IMR-2 Combat Engineering Vehicle in front of the tanks.
The movement of the Russian invasion forces was monitored by Ukrainian reconnaissance drones.
Then artillery and loitering munition began to hit the invaders on the outskirts of the front lines.
Then the Ukrainian military used mine barriers that they had set up on the invaders’ route. Enemy armored vehicles began to blow up on them.
“Nothing came of that adventure,” the military noted.
The video shows the neutralization of two Russian T-72 tanks and an IMR-2 Combat Engineering Vehicle.
Russian invaders lost armored vehicles in the fields and roads between Solodke and Novomykhailivka.
On October 8, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that in the Mariinka sector, the military successfully repelled 13 invaders’ attacks in the areas of Mariinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region over the course of a day.
