President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the call-up of reservists.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued a decree calling up reservists for a special period. The Ukrainian president said this in his video message.

“As the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I issued a decree calling-up reservists for a special period,” Zelensky said in a video address.

“It is exclusively about citizens enrolled in the operational reserve. We have to increase the readiness of the Ukrainian army for all possible changes in the operational environment ,” he stressed.

According to Zelensky, there is no need for general mobilization at the moment.

“Military trainings for Territorial Defense reservists will also take place in the near future,” Zelensky announced.
