An UGV armored pod rescued a wounded Ukrainian soldier during evacuation from a position after being hit by an FPV drone.

The rescue operation was carried out as part of a mission called “Fixic,” the First Separate Medical Battalion reported.

The wounded man was hit by an enemy drone and was in an infantry position without the ability to move independently.

The route to the evacuation point passed through enemy-heavy territory, making it impossible to use traditional means.

The command decided to carry out the evacuation with the help of a ground robotic system.

The total length of the planned route was 58 kilometers, 29 kilometers each way.

After loading the wounded, the UGV detected the presence of an enemy drone, which is why the crew decided to speed up the movement as much as possible.

After traveling about four kilometers, on the second attempt, the ground robot was hit by an enemy FPV drone.

The wounded man was promptly evacuated from the damaged UGV by soldiers of a neighboring unit and provided with the necessary medical care.

Due to being in an armored capsule, the soldier did not suffer additional injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at the next stage of evacuation.

The mission lasted 3 hours and 25 minutes, with an average speed of UGV at 18 km/h and a maximum speed of 38 km/h. The damaged robotic system was also evacuated.

Previously, the First Separate Medical Battalion has also recently conducted Operation HVER: 33 days of fighting for the life of a wounded soldier.
