The U.S. Central Command conducted a special operation to eliminate one of the senior leaders of ISIS – Dhiyyah Zawbi Muslim al-Hardani.

This is reported on the official website of the US Central Command.

The elimination took place in the city of Al-Bab, Aleppo Governorate (Syria), as part of a raid by US Central Command forces in conjunction with allies.

The operation was part of a long-term campaign to defeat ISIS, an organization that poses a threat to the region, US allies, and the West as a whole.

During the raid, two of al-Hardani’s sons, who were associated with the terrorist organization, were also killed. At the same time, women and children who were near the target were not injured.

“We will relentlessly pursue ISIS terrorists wherever they are. They are not safe – not at night, not in their hideouts, not wherever they operate,” said General Michael E. Kurilla, commander of U.S. Central Command.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that in February 2025, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces had used a Hellfire R9X missile to destroy the leader of the al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist organization Hurras al-Din in northwestern Syria.
