Russia used Belarusian airspace during a combined air attack on Ukraine on July 12, 2025.

Residents of border towns recorded the flight of Russian drones from Belarusian territory.

One of the videos posted online, filmed on the Slavgorod highway, shows at least one Shahed kamikaze drone flying overhead.

As noted by the author of the Telegram channel Nikolaevsky Vanyok, three drones flew over Belarusian territory and were directed towards the Zhytomyr region.

This is not the first time that the Russian armed forces have used Belarusian airspace. In 2024, kamikaze drones were also recorded flying over its territory.

At the same time, there were also cases of these drones being shot down by Belarusian fighter jets. One such incident occurred on August 29, 2024, in the Yelsk district, where at 3:30 a.m. local time, a drone entered the airspace and remained there for about 20 minutes.

During this time, Belarusian Air Force fighter jets escorted the UAV and, according to eyewitnesses, shot it down at 3:55 a.m.
