Fuel storage tanks are burning at a CHP plant in temporarily occupied Kerch following a strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The monitoring Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported on this and also shared a video from the scene.
Satellite data shows a thick plume of black smoke stretching about 47 kilometers.
On the night of June 23, the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula was under a drone attack. As a result of the strikes, fires were reported at energy and fuel infrastructure facilities.
NASA FIRMS satellites also detected new fire hotspots, including at the Russian port of Kavkaz in the Temryuk district of Krasnodar Krai.
The Crimean Wind Telegram channel noted thermal anomalies detected by satellites near the Nasosna-2 substation (220/110/35/10 kV), located north of the village of Mykolaivka in the Sovietskyi District of occupied Crimea.
A separate fire was also reported at the entrance to Kerch, where Russian S-300/S-400 air defense systems are believed to be deployed.
A possible fire is also being reported near the village of Bagerove, where positions of the S-300/S-400 air defense systems were previously observed.
The occupation administration in Sevastopol has introduced a temporary ban on fuel sales, restricted the operation of shops and food service establishments, and canceled mass events.
Fuel will only be supplied to emergency services vehicles responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure and city life support.
Public transport schedules are also being adjusted. Ferry services will be suspended, while only passenger boats will continue operating.
