Two Russian Pantsir-S1 SPAAGM Systems Destroyed in Crimea and Kuban

The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed two Russian Pantsir-S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft gun-missile systems in occupied Crimea and Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.

This was reported by the Telegram channel Dosye Shpiona, which published photos of destroyed equipment.

The first Pantsir-S1 SPAAGM system was destroyed on August 29 near the occupied city of Kerch in Crimea.

The second system was hit on August 30 near the military airfield in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai.

According to the CyberBoroshno OSINT project, the Russians had also deployed a decoy near the system, but it did not protect the actual combat vehicle.

The Pantsir-S1 is a Russian short-range self-propelled system designed to protect civilian and military facilities from drones, cruise missiles, and aircraft.

The system is armed with two twin-barrel 2A38M 30 mm automatic cannons and 12 guided surface-to-air missiles. The cannons have an engagement range of up to 4 km, while the missiles can engage targets at ranges of up to 20 km and altitudes of up to 15 km.
