Several streets in the village of Oskil, near Izyum, were flooded upon the destruction of one of the dam gates of the Oskil Reservoir.

Militarnyi informs about it with reference to Suspilne.

Hennadiy Zahoruiko, Head of the Oskil community, stated that the water in the river had risen to the average flood level.

There is currently no danger of flooding the residential building, but if the shelling causes more destruction, flooding could affect other villages.

The village of Oskil is divided by a river. The right bank is currently occupied by the russian military.

The village is under constant fire. People from the right bank cannot be evacuated.

Delivery of humanitarian aid is also currently impossible.

Approximately 2,000 people could now be in the occupied area.

As reported earlier, on April 1st, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the city of Izyum is being controlled by the russian troops.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, mentioned that the active hostilities in the Izyum district continue.

The aggressors are also maintaining the pontoon crossings across the Siverskyi Donets river.
