High-quality mock-ups of S-300 and Tor-M1 air defense systems made in the United States

In the United States, railroad spotters have noticed the transporting of high-quality mock-ups of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems and radars.

On the railway platforms of the Norfolk Southern station in Ohio, 4 models of Russian air defense equipment were discovered.

The railway delivered two mock-ups of the Tor-М1 air defense system, one mock-ups of the S-300PS launcher and the 5N63S Flap Lid radar vehicle.

The owners of the railway platforms and cargo, as well as the points of departure and destination, are unknown.

TheWarZone journalists draw attention to the similarity of these mock-ups in the photo from the announcement of the intention to purchase the U.S. Air Force in 2019. 4 years ago, they wanted to purchase two realistic models of S-300PMU TELs.

It is also known that the California company OPFOR Solutions manufactures high-quality mock-ups of military equipment. On the company’s website, photos and videos of the process of assembling the Tor SAM mock-ups were published.

Such mock-ups can be used for training of the U.S. military. In particular, for training with the detection of enemy air defense by combat aviation pilots and UAV operators.

Models can also be used as false decoy targets for enemy forces.
