The Pokrova strategic electronic warfare system consists of more than 90% Lima electronic warfare systems.
This was reported by Alkhimik, commander of the Night Watch unit, in an interview with Militarnyi.
“By the end of 2024, ‘Lima’ accounted for 85%. By the beginning of 2025 — 95%,” the guest said.
According to Alkhimik, there are sections of the front line against Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) where the system accounts for 98%.
Pokrova is Ukraine’s nationwide electronic warfare (EW) system, which encompasses all branches of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and operates on the principle of GPS spoofing.
It interferes with the satellite signals of enemy drones and missiles, causing them to lose their spatial orientation, veer off course, crash in a field, or turn back. The system became operational in early 2024.
Lima Electronic Warfare System is not a traditional electronic warfare station that simply generates radio noise for enemy systems. According to the manufacturer, the system employs digital suppression using a combination of jamming, spoofing, and cyberattacks targeting the navigation receiver.
