Satellite images have captured new damage on the grounds of JSC Michurinsk Plant Progress in Russia’s Tambov region following a drone attack in early June.

This was reported by analysts at Exilenova+, who published the results of a follow-up reconnaissance of the facility after the June 3 attack.

One of the key production buildings of the enterprise, which manufactures equipment for aviation and missile control systems, was hit.

The published satellite image shows fresh signs of damage on the roof of the main machining shop. It was in this part of the enterprise that a large-scale fire was observed after the strike.

Analysts note that due to the intense fire, serious damage to equipment and production facilities inside the building cannot be ruled out.

In addition to the new strike, the image marks the locations of previous strikes on the plant’s territory. Some of the damaged areas are currently undergoing repair or restoration.

The presence of numerous traces of attacks in recent years indicates systematic targeting of the facility and its importance to the Russian defense-industrial complex.

JSC Michurinsk Plant Progress specializes in the production of high-tech equipment for aviation and missile control systems. The enterprise is one of the largest industrial facilities in the Tambov region.

According to open-source data, the plant manufactures gyroscopes, sensors, autopilot components, and other parts used in aviation and missile systems.

On the night of June 3, a drone attack on the facility was reported. A fire broke out on the plant’s grounds, which was documented by eyewitnesses and OSINT analysts.

Michurinsk Plant Progress had previously been targeted at least in December 2024, June 2025, and February 2026. Each of these attacks was accompanied by reports of damage to the plant’s production facilities.

New satellite analysis has effectively confirmed that the latest attack reached the territory of the production complex and affected one of its key workshops.

As a reminder, an arms manufacturing plant in Tula, Russia, had previously caught fire.
