Arms Factory in Russian Tula City Engulfed in Fire

An explosion and a large-scale fire broke out at the A+A factory in Tula, Russia. The enterprise specializes in weapons and ammunition production. According to preliminary data, two people were killed in the incident.

ASTRA reported on this, citing local residents, eyewitnesses, and emergency services.

Published videos show thick black and white smoke rising above industrial buildings in the city. The footage also shows areas of active burning on the factory site.

According to the Myslo media outlet, the fire broke out at the production site of A+A, a company involved in the manufacture of weapons and ammunition.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said the fire covered an area of about 250 square meters.

Rescuers were forced to temporarily suspend firefighting operations due to a detonation inside the building, which continued to burn.

Based on the released footage, heavy smoke was visible over the site for an extended period and could be seen from different parts of the city.

At the time of publication, Russian authorities had not reported the cause of the explosion and fire.

There is also no information on possible damage to production facilities or equipment losses.

Tula is one of the key centers of Russia’s defense industry. The city hosts enterprises involved in the production of small arms, ammunition, weapons systems, and military equipment.

Since the start of the full-scale war, drone strikes have repeatedly targeted Russian defense facilities, and accidents and fires at industrial sites have also been reported.

Militarnyi previously reported a drone attack on defense industry enterprises in Tula, including facilities linked to the production of Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun systems.

At present, the extent of damage to the A+A facility and the impact of the incident on its operations remain unknown.
