Russian S8000 Banderol Missiles Now Being Shot Down by New Air Defense System

Ukraine has developed a new air defense system that is already shooting down Russian S8000 Banderol missiles.

This was reported by the Brave1 consortium on its website.

Brave1 notes that the cost of intercepting the missile with this unnamed system is significantly lower than the cost of the missile itself.

The footage shows the combat system intercepting an enemy Banderol missile.

The system is capable of tracking and engaging missiles until they are destroyed.

Brave1 notes that this is not the only system capable of countering these missiles.

Ukraine is currently scaling up innovations to counter Russian jet drones.

“We are developing and implementing innovative solutions to protect our citizens from modern threats,” Brave1 representatives note.

In Ukraine, Banderol missiles are also being shot down by MiG-29 fighter jets. One such incident occurred on September 2, when a fighter jet flying at extremely low altitude shot down a Banderol with an R-60 missile.
