US announced $600 million in additional security assistance for Ukraine

The US Department of Defense released a new list of $600 million military aid package to Ukraine.

The list consisting of 11 positions is published on the Pentagon website.

The capabilities in this package include:

  1. Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
  2. 36,000 105mm artillery rounds;
  3. 1,000 precision-guided 155mm artillery rounds;
  4. Four counter-artillery radars;
  5. Four trucks and eight trailers to transport heavy equipment;
  6. Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems;
  7. Mine clearing equipment;
  8. Claymore anti-personnel munitions;
  9. Demolition munitions and equipment;
  10. Small arms and ammunition;
  11. Night vision devices, cold weather gear, and other field equipment.

The entire list of weapons and equipment will be provided from the DoD inventories.

This authorization is the Biden Administration’s twenty-first drawdown for Ukraine since August 2021.

In total, the United States has committed approximately $15.8 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden Administration. More than $15.1 billion since the beginning of Russia’s unprovoked and brutal invasion on February 24, 2022.
