The Ukrainian company PARABELLA has developed a protective capsule for setting up fortified positions directly on the front lines.

This was reported by Militarnyi after reviewing the product’s specifications at the international Eurosatory exhibition, which took place in Paris on June 15-19.

To manufacture this bunker, the manufacturer uses 16 mm thick three-layer armored steel and metal screens to protect personnel against cumulative shells. The interior of the armored position can accommodate up to 10 armed soldiers at a time.

The armored system provides all-around protection and a 360° field of view for monitoring the surrounding area.

Conceptually similar engineering solutions were used as far back as the Soviet Union, where prefabricated metal structures were developed for the rapid construction of machine-gun nests and command-and-observation posts.

Well-known equivalents include the Soviet BUK (armored fire capsule), VSB (armored fire structure), and SPS (prefabricated machine-gun structure).

Similar fortifications, known as the MVS-2, were also built during the ATO to defend Mariupol.
