The Ukrainian military destroyed a Russian Uragan multiple launch rocket system in the Kharkiv sector.

A photo of the destroyed MLRS was published by the Telegram channel @russianocontext.

The photo was allegedly sent by a Russian invader who survived an attack by the Ukrainian army.

The destroyed BM-27 Uragan MLRS allegedly belonged to the 18th Guards Motor Rifle Division of the Russian invasion army.

It is claimed that it, as well as a nearby Kamaz army truck, had been hit by an American M142 HIMARS rocket system, which was in service with the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

It is likely that this strike destroyed not only the equipment, but also the personnel who were nearby.

The photo shows that the Russian Uragan MLRS was equipped with a munition that exploded after being hit.

It is possible that the truck that was destroyed was carrying ammunition for Russian MLRSs.

Probably, after the Russian position was detected by a reconnaissance drone, it was attacked by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The subsequent detonation of the rockets and the burning of their engines led to the complete destruction of the multiple launch rocket system and the Kamaz.

The Uragan MLRS can use HE-FRAG, chemical, explosive or scatterable mine submunition equipped rockets and can engage targets within a range of 35 kilometers, so the destruction of such systems is a priority for the Ukrainian military.

For this purpose, they use high-precision shells from tubed artillery and rocket artillery, as well as attack drones of various types. In particular, a Russian Uragan system was recently hit by an FPV drone at a distance of 25 kilometers from the front line.
