A Ukrainian-Danish joint venture is being launched in Denmark to manufacture SAKER UAVs for the European market.

Twist Robotics reported this to Militarnyi.

The Ukrainian defense-tech company Twist Robotics is responsible for development and innovation, while the Danish-Ukrainian company Vidar Industries will handle the industrial production aspect.

According to the manufacturer, production volume will reach approximately 12,000 SAKER UAVs during the first year of operation. Production capacity will subsequently be expanded in line with operational demand.

Among the Ukrainian manufacturer’s key developments are the SAKER UAV family — specifically the Scout, Hunter, and Hetman models — the OBRIY UAV mission simulator, and the OSCAR visual navigation module.

“This agreement is an important milestone for Twist Robotics, as we are expanding our manufacturing presence beyond Ukraine,” — noted Twist Robotics.

“The partnership will help strengthen Europe’s industrial potential in the field of advanced unmanned systems through reliable international cooperation,” — emphasized Vidar Industries.

SAKER series UAVs

The SAKER SCOUT UAV is designed for communications relay, reconnaissance, target engagement, and electronic warfare. The system quickly adapts to various operational scenarios. The SAKER SCOUT provides:

  1. communication relay over distances exceeding 50 km,
  2. up to 45 minutes of flight time,
  3. autonomous navigation without GPS,
  4. day and night optical stabilization,
  5. automatic return and landing,
  6. operation from protected positions,
  7. and remote control via the Internet.

The SAKER HUNTER UAV is a mass-produced, multi-purpose aircraft capable of autonomous mission execution. The Hunter has a flight range of up to 100 km and can carry a payload of up to 5 kg. The platform can operate without GPS thanks to the in-house developed OSCAR visual-inertial navigation module.

The SAKER HETMAN UAV is a strike FPV drone. Its fully digital architecture, digital video channel, and proprietary Stezhka communication system enhance the system’s resistance to electronic warfare.

Its Cyclop automatic guidance module allows the UAV to autonomously track a target during the final phase of flight.

The HETMAN can be used for both reconnaissance and strike missions, has a flight range of up to 20 km, and can carry a payload weighing up to 3 kg.
