Ukraine’s defense industry, in cooperation with Germany, plans to produce another 200 Bohdana self-propelled artillery systems, with a total value of €750 million.

The announcement was made by Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Denys Shmyhal.

The self-propelled howitzers will be built on German-made Mercedes-Benz Zetros chassis, which are being supplied to Ukraine as part of military assistance.

Ukraine has also placed an order for 1,000 Zetros trucks adapted for the conditions of drone warfare.

Daimler Truck has previously delivered more than 200 such vehicles to Ukraine and declined to comment on the details of the new contract.

The truck is designed for operations in difficult terrain, including swampy ground, forests, river crossings and steep slopes.
