The facility was equipped with two power transformers rated at 25 MVA each and two 110 kV cable lines connectingYandex’s substation to the 750 kV Vladimirskaya substation.

The data center supports Yandex Cloud, a platform that allows companies to rent server capacity to run their own applications, store files, and process data.

Its infrastructure may also support Yandex’s own services, including its search engine and other company products.

This is not the first attack on the company’s data centers. On October 9, Ukrainian strike drones hit Yandex’s largest data center in Russia’s Kaluga region.

According to the company, the facility was designed to be the largest of Yandex’s data centers in terms of total server rackload and one of the largest in Russia. The project covers more than 3,800 server racks, each capable of handling a load of up to 15 kW.

The facility covers an area of 130,000 square meters and has a designed power capacity of 63 MW.

In addition, the Yandex DC Sasovo data center, located in the city of Sasovo in Russia’s Ryazan region, was attacked on October 8. Its stated power capacity is 12 MW.
