Luxembourg, Lithuania, Latvia, Iceland, and Australia will provide funding to help purchase U.S. weapons for Ukraine through the PURL program.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the contributions following a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format).

Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden have also pledged additional funding for the procurement of U.S.-made weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, the participating countries committed more than $1 billion to the PURL program. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this is the largest amount of support ever pledged under the initiative during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group.

Australia’s Ministry of Defence also announced that the government will provide an additional $100 million for the purchase of critical military equipment for Ukraine, with contributions of $50 million each over the next 12 months. The funding will be used to strengthen air defense capabilities and procure essential ammunition.

In addition, countries providing military assistance to Ukraine also backed the Czech ammunition initiative, with a particular focus on long-range artillery shells.

“Partners have pledged more than $500 million to support this effort. Ukraine will receive some of the long-range ammunition as early as this month. We are grateful to Norway, Denmark, Luxembourg, and Spain,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.

President Volodymyr Zelensky also said that partner countries will contribute approximately $1 billion toward the production of Ukrainian drones and missiles. “We appreciate the support of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Norway,” the president said.

Norway will allocate $190 million for the procurement of extended-range ammunition to meet the Ukrainian military’s immediate operational needs.

In addition, Norway will fund the maintenance and support of F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets and launch a joint drone-production initiative with Ukrainian companies under the Drone Deal program.

The United Kingdom has announced a military aid package for Ukraine worth approximately €865 million. The package includes 150,000 drones produced in Ukraine, along with more than 350 air-defense missiles and radar systems to help strengthen Ukraine’s air-defense network.

Germany has also pledged additional support. It will supply Ukraine with hundreds of air-to-air missiles from its own military stockpiles and provide $400 million to fund the purchase of PAC-3 missiles interceptors for Ukraine’s Patriot air-defense systems.
