Ukrainian National Guard Received 10 Protector UGVs Thanks to Germany

The Ukrainian National Guard received its first 10 Protector unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) with financial support from the German government.

The company Ukrainian Armor reported that 100 such UGVs have been contracted for the National Guard.

On Brave1 Market, one such UGV costs nearly UAH 3.9 million.

The first batch was distributed among four National Guard units.

The Protector is designed to perform logistical and evacuation tasks in combat zones.

The system enables the delivery of ammunition, food, fuel and lubricants, engineering equipment, and other supplies, as well as the evacuation of the wounded, thereby reducing risks to personnel.

The Protector has a payload capacity of 1,480 kg — one of the highest figures among modern robotic logistics systems.

This makes it possible to transport significant volumes of essential supplies in a single trip.

In addition, the system is capable of towing a trailer weighing up to 4 metric tons, which further increases the amount of cargo that can be delivered in a single trip.

“Our partners have contracted for 100 of our systems for the National Guard. The automation of logistics allows important tasks to be carried out without unnecessary risk to personnel,” noted the company’s CEO, Vladislav Belbas.

In particular, the system is already in operation with a separate artillery brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine and will be deployed in the Dobropillia sector.

Previously, Ukrainian Armor delivered the Protector to the UGV Training School based at the KILLHOUSE Academy, as well as to soldiers of the 3rd Army Corps.
