At the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s HQ will consider the issue of providing the Ukrainian military with electronic warfare (EW) equipment.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced this after his meeting with the military.

On Monday, September 4, during a working visit, the President met with combat brigades in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia sectors.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that anything that the soldiers who go into battle lack, especially the availability of electronic warfare equipment, will be an issue for the participants of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff.

“It is extremely important to support our warriors, to communicate with the brigade and battalion commanders. It is increasingly useful to hear from those who are directly going into battle what exactly is lacking, what exactly is enough, and what exactly needs to be changed.

Everything the warriors discussed will be brought up for the participants of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters. Especially the topics regarding electronic warfare – we heard everything, guys,” Zelensky emphasized.

At the moment, drones pose a major threat at the front, and various electronic warfare (EW) means are being used to counter them.

Militarnyi reported that within the initiative, the Ukrainian engineers are testing jamming equipment (EW) against enemy kamikaze drones.

To test the system, engineers installed an external container with all the necessary equipment and an antenna on the turret of a T-72 tank.

According to the developers, the system was configured to operate at a frequency of 900 MHz to counteract drones, and its operating power is 50 watts.

The prototype equipment has already passed the first tests by combat and showed certain results that give hope for the development of the EW system in the future.
