The Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing towards the state border in the north of the Kharkiv region.

Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General, announced this.

There is 50 km separating them from the state border with the Russian Federation, the general said.

He named a number of settlements that were liberated by the Ukrainian military in the previous days: Bayrak, Nova Husarivka, Shchurivka, and Vilkhuvatka.

Zaluzhnyi said that the offensive in Balakliya, Izium, and Kupiansk was preceded by the capture of the powerful enemy strongholds with the names “Omsk”, “Moscow”, and “Peter”.

According to the Ukrainian general, 3,000 square kilometers of territory were already deoccupied.

“I am proud and grateful to every Ukrainian serviceman. I am honored to fight side by side with you.
Eternal Memory of those who fell in the battles for Ukraine!” Valeriy Zaluzhnyi wrote.

Meanwhile, the President of Ukraine thanked the 14th Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great for liberating the village of Chkalivske in the Kharkiv region. “We will send off the invaders from every Ukrainian town and village,” Volodymyr Zelensky wrote.
