Units of the Special Operations Forces, in coordination with underground members of the Special Operations Forces Resistance Movement, successfully destroyed a railroad bridge in occupied Crimea.
The structure was located near the village of Rozdolne and spanned the North Crimean Canal, according to the Special Operations Forces.
The first phase of the special operation to neutralize the logistics hub took place on the night of June 22. To perform the mission, Ukrainian military forces deployed medium-range strike drones.
The Special Operations Forces’ drones launched several strikes on the bridge structure. Following the explosions, the railroad tracks sustained critical damage, which completely halted train traffic on that section.
In addition to damage to the rails, the precision strike caused one of the structure’s massive spans to collapse.
Later, underground operatives of the Ukrainian Resistance Movement documented the arrival of specialized railway repair equipment at the scene.
Having received accurate intelligence, the Special Operations Forces units immediately launched the second phase of their combat mission.
On the night of June 23, drones carried out a second attack on the railway facility near Rozdolne.
The drones struck both the invaders’ newly arrived repair equipment and, once again, the remains of the destroyed bridge. This thwarted the Russians’ plans for a rapid restoration of railway logistics.
The Russian command had been using this railway line to rapidly transfer logistical resources and manpower.
Supplies were delivered via two key railway routes to support the front lines. The first route ran directly from the territory of the Russian Federation through Crimea to supply the troop group in the southern sector.
The second route provided internal logistics to maintain the functioning of the entire Crimean military infrastructure.
