Satellite imagery shows damage to the Signal plant in Stavropol, a facility involved in the production of military radio equipment, following a reported Ukrainian drone strike.

The Dnipro OSINT project published images and identified at least three impact sites: two strikes were executed using Ukrainian-made An-196 Liutyi drones, while the third drone is unidentified, although its fuselage resembles that of a Shahed-type UAV.

The strikes hit the roofs of the plant’s administrative and production buildings, with one impacting the facade of the main administrative facility.

While the building structures appear to have avoided critical damage, the explosions may have affected internal equipment and documentation.

The Signal plant has been under EU, US, and Japanese sanctions since 2022, but continues operations, reportedly using foreign-sourced components to bypass restrictions, including imports of Chinese electronics.

The facility manufactures electronic warfare systems such as Smalta, Gardenia, and Topol-E, used on both aircraft and ground vehicles. Located about 350–380 km from Ukrainian-controlled territory, it remains within reach of certain long-range strike drones.

UAV attacks inside Russia

A drone strike recently targeted a railway electrical substation in Russia’s Volgograd region — a key link in military logistics. The strike disabled a section of the railway line near Zhutovo station, close to the village of Oktyabrsky.

A large fire broke out following the explosion. The governor of Volgograd confirmed the incident.
