Russian invaders continue to install naval weapons on their armored vehicles for use on land in the war with Ukraine.

This time, the military of the aggressor state installed a naval multiple rocket launcher on a MT-LB multi-purpose tracked armored fighting vehicle.

Photos of these Russian MLRS were published on social media.

Judging by the image, at least two Russian MT-LBs were equipped with Soviet А-22 Ogon’ naval multiple rocket launchers.

This naval MRL is designed to arm river and landing craft, including hovercraft.

The system can damage coastal targets, equipment and manpower in the coastal zone, and surface targets (boats, watercraft), as well as cause fires.

In order to do this, 140mm fragmentation and incendiary unguided missiles can be used from the launcher with 22 tubes. Both volley and single launches can be carried out.

The А-22 Ogon MRL can use Soviet OF-45 fragmentation and ZZh-45 incendiary shells with a range of 4.5 km. It is also possible to use new Russian OFD-45 fragmentation unguided missiles with a firing range of 9.5 km.

On ships, for remote control of the MRL, as well as for the search and detection of targets, a DVU-3-BS long-range sighting device is used. It provides horizontal and vertical guidance for the launcher.

How the Russian invaders will control and guide the launchers that they have installed on the MT-LB is unknown.

In the photo, it is noticeable that the Russians installed a sight on the launcher.

It is also not known from which ships the Russians removed the А-22 Ogon MRLs, which in particular is part of the armament of Project 1232.2 Zubr air-cushioned landing crafts.
